Lee Connelly, The Skinny Jean Gardener is best known for his work as the CBBC Blue Peter Gardener, Channel 4s Sunday Brunch and Award Winning Podcaster specialising in children and Family gardening.
Lee first started gardening in 2014 at the age of 26 with his brother on a local allotment, learning his new hobby though social media. He moved on to TVs Jimmy Dohertys farm to build a new kitchen garden for his restaurant, getting involved with Jamie Olivers food revolution and soon after building the first allotment on Blue Peter, and presenting gardening on tv and online ever since.
Through his other work on TV, online, on stage with his unique gardening shows and the biggest gardening podcast in the world, he inspires families and children to get outside in the garden, create memories and enjoy the space they have. Lee believes that no matter how big you or your garden is, we can all be gardeners.
In 2020 Lee Can be found on stage at some of the biggest Gardening (RHS, BBC Gardeners World Live, Ideal Home Show) and Family/ Food Festivals (Camp Bestival, Big Feastival) touring his unique gardening entertainment show for children and families.
He will also be launching his brand new children’s book and getting over 30,000 school kids gardening in 2020 with a 2 week Free School tour of the UK.
Unconfirmed and TBC his third show garden looks at hitting RHS Hampton Court with something not before seen at a RHS Show before.
